The Ladies Philoptochos Society

The late Archbishop Iakovos calls the Philoptochos "The Right arm of The Church". 
Truly, they represent a extraordinary self-sacrificing and loving part of the Church. 
From the Greek (= to love a friend, 1 Th 4:9) & (= the poor, Mt 5:3)
the Philoptochos knows themselves simply as "friends of the poor."

Every week you will find them at the church cooking and baking
 in order to raises funds to benefit the poor and needy

Members of the Philoptochos Society presents 600 inter-island airline tickets 
to Kapiolani Children's Hospital Oncology Fund 
to fly neighbor island children (for cancer treatment) 
and their family members to Kapiolani Children's Hospital on Oahu
